The Single Jacket ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) Fiber Optical Cable, particularly the Singlemode variant, is a cutting-edge solution for high-speed data transmission and telecommunications infrastructure. This cable’s design and construction involve several key components and innovative features that make it a reliable choice for a wide range of applications.

The cable’s core technology revolves around the organization of its optical fibers. These ultra-thin fibers, each measuring 250μm in diameter, are meticulously arranged within a loose tube structure composed of high modulus plastics. This arrangement ensures that the fibers are well-protected and maintained at optimal performance levels.

Features

To safeguard the delicate optical fibers from external elements, the loose tubes are generously filled with a water-resistant compound. This compound serves as a barrier against moisture and other environmental factors, thereby preserving the cable’s integrity and functionality even in challenging conditions.

The optical fiber arrangement, including the loose tubes and fillers, is ingeniously stranded around a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) core. This central strength member is entirely non-metallic, contributing to the cable’s lightweight and non-conductive characteristics. The result is a compact and circular cable core that is robust and resilient.

To further enhance the cable’s durability and protect it against external forces, the cable core is encased in a thin Polyethylene (PE) inner sheath. This inner sheath acts as an additional layer of defense against physical stress and abrasion, thereby extending the cable’s service life.

The cable is designed with strength in mind, as a stranded layer of aramid yarns is applied over the inner sheath. This layer acts as a supplementary strength member, fortifying the cable and ensuring it can withstand various mechanical challenges.

Finally, the cable is completed with either a Polyethylene (PE) or an Anti-Tracking (AT) outer sheath, depending on the specific application and requirements. The outer sheath serves as the final protective layer, safeguarding the cable against UV radiation, environmental factors, and wear and tear.
