The Single Jacket ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) Fiber Optical Cable, particularly the Singlemode variant, is a cutting-edge solution for high-speed data transmission and telecommunications infrastructure. This cable’s design and construction involve several key components and innovative features that make it a reliable choice for a wide range of applications.

The cable’s core technology revolves around the organization of its optical fibers. The ultra-thin fibers, each measuring 250μm in diameter, fit meticulously into a loose tube structure made of high modulus plastics. This arrangement protects the fibers and maintains their optimal performance levels.

Features

To safeguard the delicate optical fibers from external elements, a water-resistant compound generously fills the loose tubes. This compound serves as a barrier against moisture and other environmental factors. Thereby preserving the cable’s integrity and functionality even in challenging conditions.

The manufacturer strands the optical fiber arrangement, including the loose tubes and fillers, around a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) core in an ingenious manner. This central strength member is entirely non-metallic. Contributing to the cable’s lightweight and non-conductive characteristics. The result is a compact and circular cable core that is robust and resilient.

To further enhance the cable’s durability and protect it against external forces. The manufacturer encases the cable core in a thin Polyethylene (PE) inner sheath. This inner sheath acts as an additional layer of defense against physical stress and abrasion. Thereby extending the cable’s service life.

The cable is designed with strength in mind, as a stranded layer of aramid yarns is applied over the inner sheath. This layer acts as a supplementary strength member, fortifying the cable and ensuring it can withstand various mechanical challenges.

Finally, either a Polyethylene (PE) or an Anti-Tracking (AT) outer sheath completes the cable, depending on the specific application and requirements. The outer sheath serves as the final protective layer, safeguarding the cable against UV radiation, environmental factors, and wear and tear.
