Overview 

The D-Link DMC 520 SSC Media converters  convert  signals  that  are  transmitted  from  one  type  of  media  to  another so that they can be transmitted over a different type of media. This series of media converters transforms 10/100/1000 Mbps copper Ethernet into a 100/1000 Mbps fiber optic connection. It enables you to expand your network by connecting devices over longer distances using fiber optic cables. Replacing short-distance Ethernet connections like Cat.6 twisted-pair cables.

Twisted-pair to Single-mode Fiber Media Converter (20km)

The DMC-520SSC media converter converts 100Mbps BASE-TX Fast Ethernet twisted-pair signals to 100BASE-FX Fast Ethernet Single-mode Fiber signals. Maximum fiber cable distance is 20km.

Flexible Media Conversion

Dedicated Storage Solution

The DMC Series product lineup includes a wide range of independent media converters as well as the DMC-1014 Media Converter Chassis, capable of housing up to 14 media converters. You can start with a single media converter, equipped with its own housing and AC power supply. As network requirements grow, you can mount the DMC-1014 in your equipment rack and conveniently install all your media converters into the chassis. You can easily remove the housing of each media converter to install it into the chassis. The chassis’ power supply then powers the installed converter module.
