Best suited to external or duct environments where the construction provides protection from the ingress of water. Available in two formats; Central Loose Tube (aka Single or Uni) and Multi-Loose Tube configurations. Central LT cables is more commonly used for 4 – 24 core fibre counts, where the 250µm fibres are contained in a gel filled tube, surrounded by an E-glass moisture rodent resistant and impact/crush absorbing yarn, covered with a fire and water resistant, UV stabilised jacket. Multi-Loose Tube cables normally cater from 48-144 core fibre counts.

An array of fibre and gel filled tubes surround a central strength member, layered with E-Glass yarn and an outer jacket. Our Loose Tube cables are very easy to prepare for direct termination or fusion splicing and can be used both indoor and outdoor. Dry tubes are available but tend to be made to order. Further protection can be applied to our cables, such as an additional jacket or Corrugated Steel Tape (CST) or even chemical/oil protective jackets.

Designers specifically created universal standard loose tube optical fibre cables for home or business applications, and people use them for LAN, WAN backbones, and telecom access lines.

These cables are suitable for internal/external ducts and have Glass Yarn Armouring in the form of high tensile yarns to offer strength and basic rodent protection.
