Engineers designed and manufactured the Giganet Category 6A 500MHz U/UTP LDPE cable to exceed the performance requirements of ANSI/TIA-568.2-D, ISO/IEC 11801-1, and EN 50173-1. The cable is ideal for 10 Gigabit networks.

The manufacturer wraps each of the four pairs individually with aluminum foil tape and covers them with overall aluminum foil that includes a drain wire to protect against Alien Crosstalk (electromagnetic noise that can occur from one pair to an adjoining cable) and external EMI. The Cat 6A system supports emerging and convergence applications, performance, and ease of termination.
