When installed as part of a TERA solution, each pair delivers 1.2 GHz of bandwidth — exceeding Category 7A/ Class FA specifications. This extra bandwidth supports demanding applications like 10GBASE-T and broadband video.

Exceeding ISO/IEC category 7_A/class F_A specifications, Siemon’s fully shielded end to end TERA Cat 7A cabling solution delivers 10 Gb/s performance and beyond, offers a bandwidth of 1.2 GHz per pair, supports cable sharing and is validated for TEMPEST high security government applications.

Innovative Cable Sharing Capabilities

The TERA connector’s isolated quadrant contact design is backwards compatible with lower category cabling via hybrid patch cords and provides innovative standards based cable sharing capabilities.

Powerful Solution for Today’s Converged Networks

The TERA outlets are easy to install in Siemon’s TERA-MAX® patch panels. The plugs support termination of 22-23 AWG solid or stranded S/FTP and F/FTP shielded cables to precise lengths. They feature a slim, compact design with a hinged door to block dust and contaminants from unused outlets. The simple termination process ensures proper shield connection without needing additional grounding.
